The Chuwi Vi8 plus 8 inch Windows 10 Tablet PC Review The Chuwi Vi8 plus 8 inch Windows 10 Tablet PC  is a nice looking tablet. It has a 64-bit Intel X5 Atom Cherry Trail Z8300 CPU with 1.84GHz processing power. It has 2GB DDR3L SDRAM memory and a 32G eMMC ROM and a USB type-C port. It has a 32GB SSD hard drive and a 64Gb micro SD card slot. The tablet has a nice look and feel. It has a hatched hard plastic casing with stainless steel edges and buttons. Its 8 inch 1280 x 800 HD screen is clear and crisp. There is a 2MP camera with up to 1280 x 720p / 30 fps video. the tablet weighs 1.5lbs. The battery lasts about five hours with normal Office use. The Chuwi Vi8 tablet is squarely aimed at the Asian market. Korea Media Player Centre and Korea Messenger Centre folders sit on the newly installed Desktop and are easily deleted. Chinese manufacturer Chuwi has officially launched its new Hi8 Pro tablet, a Windows 10 device featuring an 8-inch display with 1920x1200px resolution (a little higher than Full HD). The Hi8 Pro was previously available to pre-order, but the company got in touch with us today to let us know that sales are now underway. The device features relatively modest specs, including: 8-inch IPS LCD with 1920x1200px resolution (283ppi pixel density) Quad-core Intel Atom (Cherry Trail) x5-Z8300 processor 2GB RAM 32GB storage (plus  microSD card  support up to 128GB) 2MP  rear camera 2MP front-facing camera HDMI-out USB Type-C port Bluetooth 4.0 WiDi (wireless display) support 4000mAh battery 352g; 7.9mm-thick An optional protective cover will also be offered for the Hi8 Pro, which includes a hardware keyboard for the device, along with kickstand-style functionality to allow the tablet to be propped up while typing. Chuwi will live Tweet the launch of the Chuwi Hi12 on Jan 28th In an interesting move, tablet maker Chuwi have decided to live Tweet the launch of their 12-inch Chuwi Hi12 dual-boot tablet. Ok live Tweeting isn’t new, but it’s a big step for a Chinese manufacturer and points to the amount of importance Chuwi sees their international market has for them. Chuwi have been around for years in the Chinese tablet space, but is only recently that they have really started to look outside of the local market and set their sights internationally. The fact that they are using Twitter (despite being blocked in China) to unveil their new products is great news for us international fans. The Chuwi Hi12 tablet is a Intel Cherry Tail equipped 12-inch tablet which will ship with Windows 10. Lots of Intel powered tablets have been released this year, running either Android OS or Windows 8.1, only very few of them could dual-boot both OS. Even those tablets which do support dual-booting normally require people to shutdown from one operating system before switching to the other. CHUWI announced on its official website today that they would soon release a Windows tablet that is not only affordable to all users, but also offers much more usability than those other budget Windows tablets on the market now.  Priced at RMB499 ($82) , the Vi8 has the same 8-inch IPS display at 1280*800 and Intel Z3735F quad-core processor as seen on many other budget Windows tablets, but it has 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM, twice as much as the memory setup in the PIPO W4 and the Ployer MOMO8W. The CHUWI Vi8 runs authorized Windows 8.1 out of the box, and is also preinstalled with Office365, which will be totally free for 1 year.
